Cerita Di Sebalik Burj Khalifa
When Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was around 10, he visited Princess Tower in London and was amazed by its height. He asked his father why Dubai had no tall buildings, and his father explained that the sandy ground would make them unstable. From that moment, Sheikh Mohammed dreamed of building the tallest building in the world.
Years later, he studied master civil engineering and started the Burj project with his company, Emaar. But after the 9/11 attacks, many investors pulled out because people suspected the UAE’s involvement since he said that he wanted to build the tallest building in the world. To keep the project alive, Sheikh Mohammed brought in labor and pushed forward despite the financial crisis.
Originally named Burj Dubai, the project faced more struggles. During the crisis, Abu Dhabi’s ruler, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, provided crucial financial support. To honor him, the tower was renamed Burj Khalifa. Today, it stands with a foundation that goes 800 meters down and up.
United States of America juga merupakan pemberi sumbangan kewangan kepada Burj Dubai. Bila President USA tahu yang menara tu dipanggil Burj Dubai diorang marah dan ingatkan orang Arab takde duit. Jadi President UAE bagi cheque balik kepada President USA untuk bagi semula dana yang pernah diberi ke Dubai.
So aku naik tingkat 124 & 125 dekat Burj Khalifa and nama ticket dia At The Top Burj Khalifa.
Ada projector yang display dekat pintu lif speed and tingkat berapa lif tu sekarang. Aku terus teringat trip pergi Penang The Top @ Komtar and sama cara dia cuma of course Dubai punya lagi hebatlah and lagi tinggi.
So ni adalah view dari Burj Khalifa yang tunjuk Dubai. Sangat cantik ! Dekat tingkat 124 and 125 pon ada jual gift and service tangkap & printing gambar untuk kenangan.
